I’m Carolina, Founder and Principal HR Consultant at HR Freelancer, with over 20 years of experience helping small and mid-sized businesses build stronger teams and stay compliant. With over 25 years in Human Resources, I’ve dedicated my career to helping businesses and their people succeed—providing remote HR guidance that blends strategic insight with practical, hands-on support. My experience spans corporate leadership, consulting, and mentoring HR professionals—always focused on creating environments rooted in trust, clarity, and growth.

Over time, I expanded that philosophy across industries—from hospitality and healthcare to small business consulting—guiding companies through growth, compliance, and cultural transformation. As founder of HR Freelancer, I partner with small and mid-size businesses to build or revitalize their HR infrastructure, delivering remote, bilingual, flexible solutions that help leaders streamline processes, reduce risk, and develop practical systems that sustain long-term success.

 My approach blends corporate discipline with a human touch. Whether advising leaders on workforce strategy, or designing onboarding programs, I bring empathy and real-world perspective to every project.

Outside of consulting, I’m an advocate for community growth and inclusion—believing that effective HR, like healthy communities, flourishes when people feel seen, supported, and inspired to grow in the Chicagoland area and beyond. I also volunteer in local public gardens, helping knit communities together and teaching others about the value of gardening and connection.
